SLATE SIGNS EXPLAINED:
Here at Cornish Stone we offer a wide range of slate signs.Each slate sign is individually designed using or computerised system, Slate signs are engraved on a thick piece of cornish slate these are then hand polished and the characters finished with the finest grade exterior enamel (colour of your choice) finally they are coated with top quality slate oil resulting in a sign which will last an extremely long time.Slate has been used by craftsmen for centuries due to its durability and exterior qualities and cornish slate is some of the finest in the world.
SLATE SIGNS OPTIONS:
We have displayed several examples of Fonts (typfaces) on our slate signs page we have found these to be the most popular with our customers however we can engrave virtually any font that is available we can also engraved designs and logos onto slate (Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any design ideas and we will give you a quote) We can engraved slate in all sizes up to a maximum of 300mm x 600mm.
CHARACTERS-The Characters for you sign are available in two standard sizes:
Regular- These are 50mm high characters (Prices start at £18 for one character.)see price table below
Large -These are 70mm high characters (Prices start at £24 for one character.) see price table below.
CHARACTER DESIGN(Font Type)-These are available in five standard options: see House signs page for other examples..(other options available please contact for details)
Roman- These are available in either all CAPS or a Mixture(see pics)
Gill- These are available in either all CAPS or a Mixture(see pics)
Script Standard- These are only available with a mixture of CAPS and lower case(see pics)
Script Bold- These are only available with a mixture of CAPS and lower case(see pics)
Old English- These are only available with a mixture of CAPS and lower case(see pics)
BOARDERSThese are available in two types (see pics):
Square Corner or Rounded Corner- These are £5 extra for 50mm and £7 extra for 70mm
DRILL HOLES- Your sign is available with no drill holes(ideal if fixing to a wall is not required)
2 Drill Holes- A fixing hole placed one at each side(see pic:All holes are countersunk)
4 Drill Holes- A fixing hole placed one at each corner(see pic:All holes are countersunk)
